Een workshop waarin zingen en verbinding voorop staat, en waar we de intentie plaatsen dat alles wat er is mag zijn en ruimte krijgt. Ik bied een combinatie aan van eigen meerstemmige songs, improvisatie via circlesong, en kortere nummers van andere artiesten.
waarom
Voor onze verre voorouders en inheemse culturen is zingen in gemeenschap ingebed in het dagelijks leven. Vandaag de dag is (samen) zingen voor heel wat mensen niet meer zo vanzelfsprekend. Ik ervaar zelf zoveel schoonheid en betekenis in het samen zingen. Steeds meer ben ik me bewust wat ‘gemeenschap’ betekent en hoe erg ik dit heb gemist in mijn leven. We leven in een maatschappij die gericht is op het individu, dus onbewust ontkende ik de leegte waar normaal gesproken een community zou zijn.
Nu ik dit niet langer kan ontkennen, is het tijd voor verandering! Ik ben bezig met mijn songs meerstemmig uit te schrijven en zou o.a. deze graag met jou zingen!
VOOR JOU?
Verlang je ernaar om te zingen? Om gemeenschap te ervaren terwijl je zingt? Om artistiek bij te dragen aan thema's die onszelf en de wereld raken? Om te onthaasten en tegelijkertijd vreugde te ervaren?
Voorkennis van zingen of koorzang is absoluut niet vereist. Ik werk zonder partituren en de vreugde van het samen zingen staat bij mij voorop.

A workshop where singing and connection is key, and where we place the intention that everything what comes up is welcome. I offer a combination of my own polyphonic songs, vocal improvisation and circlesong, and shorter songs from other artists.
why
For our ancient ancestors and indigenous cultures, singing in community was embedded in everyday life. Today, singing (together) is no longer so commonplace for many people. I myself get so much beauty and meaning from singing together. More and more I realize the impact of community and how much I have missed this in my life. We live in a society focused on the individual, so unconsciously I denied the void where there would normally be a community.
Now that this is no longer deniable for me, the time has come to transform that! I am working on my songs polyphonically and would love to sing them with you!
FOR YOU?
Are you longing to sing? To experience community while singing? To contribute artistically to themes that affect ourselves and the world? To slow down and experience joy at the same time?
Prior knowledge of singing or choral singing is absolutely not required. I work without scores and the joy of singing together is my number one priority.
